Craig & Andy
This power duo started Urban Life Church 27 years ago and are passionate about pioneering a future for generations to come.
Danie & Darleen
The most pastoral pastors of all time! It’s impossible to have a small talk with them and not leave feeling around five kgs lighter. What a good weight loss program!
Kevin & Rebeca
They love all things food, building community and will probably make you uncomfortable at any given moment.
Warren & Lauren
They love people! You will probably have seen them online or in person - preaching, hosting or both and they will convince you to join starting point.
Ryki & Kris
If you need encouragement, a laugh or a prophetic word, you might get one or all in one go with these two!
Mel & Shawn
There are no big or small asks with these two. They are passionate about food as well as people. When they invite you for dinner, say yes!
Passionate about the youth and basketball but not so much about green foods. He is single and ready to mingle according to Craig Clark.
You will certainly see her hosting online and always changing the atmosphere around her.
You will find him hosting online as well as at the Gym in Fourways. He loves a good chicken burger.
You will find him serving behind the scenes, always willing, always smiling. If you see him wearing long pants, ask if he is okay!
Always welcoming you with the biggest smile in his face.
Freeman & Siphelele
If they are awake they are dancing, if they are dancing they are smiling.
We put God first. We’re seen, celebrated, noticed and known by a great God. We love to honour Him by giving him the first of our time, talents and treasures! We honour each other in that same way, recognising the intrinsic value of each person. By esteeming others, we esteem God. So we’re committed to putting people above position, possessions and prestige.
We’re content but not complacent. We’re ordinary people serving an extraordinary God who calls us to be conduits of His glory. We use our strengths remarkably and inspirationally, doing the best we can with what we have. Always seeking to write a better story with our lives, we live with the humility that invites others to edit us.
We’re a harbour of hope. We do all we can to change the atmosphere of our city through generous justice, kindness and community. We’re both a refuge and a resource for the Kingdom of God: receiving, restoring and sending out the brave and the broken.
Uniting in Diversity
We see community through gospel-tinted glasses. We’re a kaleidoscope of cultures gathered gladly under the banner of love, enjoying the textures of our diversity. We’re a people transformed and united by the good news of Jesus.
We’re unravelling the God-dreams stitched into our DNA. We love to make the most of what God has created people to be, maximizing the unique space and scope He has given us to become our best selves.
Pioneer the Future
We’re brave enough to go first. We’re willing to be used by God to forge the future. We’re a people who lead courageously: disrupting the present to step into what He has set before us, and willing to give up much to take hold of more.
We serve a joyful God. Like the Father who delights in us, we never want to lose our sense of wonder. We take what we do seriously, but we try not to take ourselves too seriously. Pain is inevitable but misery is optional, and we’re a grateful people who celebrate often and well.
We’ve been liberated. We’re committed to living like the unshackled people we really are. We follow Jesus freely, not religiously. Our obedience is a grateful surrender to His ways, not a ticking of compulsory boxes.
We aim at clarity for comprehension. We’re determined to navigate the deep waters of complexity, and land on the shores of simplicity. We’re charged to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God. There’s no app for that. It’s just all of us, for all of Him.
Botshabelo began with members of Urban Life Church responding to the needs of our local community and the call to be a ‘Place of Refuge’ for those hurting in our city.
Over the years Botshabelo’s vision has been refined and put solidly as a stake in the ground – our vision is to impact the lives of children that need it most. Be it through education or residential care, we want to set children up with the best start in life. Right now, our three programs are achieving this vision!
The Babies Home was started in March of 2000 and our two education programs (UpliftED and Urban Kids) were started in 2010. Find out more.
Making it easy for people to turn to God and impact the world
We are passionate people who love to put the gospel on display in creative ways. We are a family church and are not afraid to “Give it a go for the Glory of God”. Which means we try new things, we think out of the box and we have a whole lot of fun in the process! Oh and we LOVE change!
Acts 15:19 | Eph 2:10
We love to see whole households come to salvation and walk a journey of discipleship within our community. We believe that the mandate to be disciples who make disciples has not changed, so we love to see “Big growth happening in small groups”.
We are passionate about reaching those who feel far from God, so everyone is welcome! Thanks for stopping by, we cannot wait to meet you!
